29 CFR 1910.95(k)(1):The employer did not institute a training program and ensure employee participation in the program: (a)Protective Coating Specialists, Inc. at 1350 7th Street Northwest, Huron, SD 57350: On or about and at times prior to December 4, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees performing work in the abrasive blasting booth were protected from occupational noise exposure by implementation a training program informing employees, among other subjects; The effects of noise on hearing, the purpose of hearing protectors and the purpose of audiometric testing. This condition exposed employees to potential hearing loss.
