29 CFR 1918.94(a)(1): When internal combustion engines exhausted into a hold, intermediate deck, or other compartment, the employer did not ensure that the atmosphere was tested as frequently as needed to prevent carbon monoxide (CO) concentrations from exceeding allowable limits. a) Kinder Morgan Fairless Hills Terminal, Genco Picardy Vessel - On or about December 8, 2024, the employer did not perform atmospheric testing in a hold where a CAT 317 excavator with internal combustion engines was exhausting. Trimmers were working in the hold alongside the excavator and possibly exposed to concentrations of carbon monoxide.
