29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers or other persons adjacent to the welding areas were not protected from the rays by noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields or required to wear appropriate goggles. a) On or about April 6, 2021 , at 2129 Ayersville Road, Toccoa, Georgia 30577( Building 4 welding shop area); The adjacent employees were exposed to welding rays hazard. The employer did not utilize protective welding screens and/or shields in areas where employees walk and work adjacent to where the hand welding work was being performed.
