29 CFR 1910.138(a):Appropriate hand protection was not used when employee's hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. a) On or about May 3, 2021, at the grease plant, on production line #6, employees poured SuperS Hi-Temp Red Lithium NLGI #2 chemical (irritant) at the grease plant without wearing appropriate hand protection.
