29 CFR 1910.333(b)(2)(iv): The employer did not properly verify if the components were positively de energized or in an otherwise safe condition to protect the employees from an electrical shock hazard. The employer is failing to protect employees from electrocution hazards. This was most recently documented on or about August 19, 2019 at the job site located at SE NorthStar RD and SE Scott Canyon RD, Kiowa, Kansas, when an employee was exposed to energized underground lines while removing an electrical box that supplied power to the decommissioned well site. The employer did not verify that the underground lines were deenergized prior to beginning the removal process.
