29 CFR 1910.1052(c)(1): The employer did not ensure that no employee(s) was exposed to an airborne concentration of methylene chloride in excess of twenty-five parts per million as an 8-hour TWA: a) On or about October 29, 2024 - Kamesi Corporation - 111 E 100 St, Apt 2B, New York, NY 10029 - Bathroom An employee using Hoodstrip-888 Semi Paste Remover that contains 75-90% Methylene Chloride (MC), to remove paint from a bathtub was exposed to airborne concentrations of Methylene Chloride in excess of the permissible exposure limit (PEL) of 25 ppm as an 8-hour TWA. Exposure levels were determined based on vapor/volume calculations and review of biomedical data from the exposed employee. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19
