29 CFR 1910.184(c)(8): Safe operating practices. Whenever any sling is used, the following practices shall be observed: Suspended loads shall be kept clear of all obstructions. a) On or around February 12, 2021, the employer did not ensure that the designated crane operators operating crane N-3 ensured that the slings were kept above the die(s) so they did not get caught on the lugs moving the crane through the area.
