29 CFR 1926.1410(d)(1): The employer did not hold a planning meeting with the utility owner/operator (or registered professional engineer who is a qualified person with respect to electrical power transmission and distribution) to ensure that a power line equipped with a device that automatically reenergizes the circuit in the event of a power line contact, before the work begins, the automatic reclosing feature of the circuit interrupting device must be made inoperative if the design of the device permits: On or about September 4, 2018, on the west side of a worksite located at 1199 W. Lantana Road in Lake Worth, Florida, employees were exposed to electrocution hazards when permitted to performing concrete wall panel installation using a wheel mounted crane located within 7 feet or less of overhead power lines energized with 7,620 volts prior to holding a planning meeting with the utility owner/operator to ensure that a power line equipped with a device that automatically reenergizes the circuit in the event of a power line contact was made inoperative.
