29 CFR 1926.55(a): Employee(s) were exposed to material(s) at concentrations above those specified in the Threshold Limit Values of Airborne Contaminants for 1970 of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists: Worksite: 17660 Wright St. - Omaha, Nebraska - On or about August 17, 2018, employer is failing to ensure that employee(s) engaged in indoor construction work involving a gasoline powered concrete saw, were not exposed to levels of carbon monoxide exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit. An employee, operating the concrete saw, was exposed to carbon monoxide (CO) during a 60 minute occupational exposure at a mean calculated at 1030.2 parts per million (ppm) CO level. The % carboxyhemoglobin (%COHb) in the employee's blood reached a calculated peak of 40.3%. Atmospheric pressure, height, weight, activity levels, tobacco smoking behavior, and other factors were taken into account. The 8-hour TWA exposure was 128.8 ppm CO, which is 2.58 times the OSHA PEL of 50 ppm CO.
