29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury. a) Utility work located near the intersection of Jacksonville Rd. and Washington Hwy., Union Point, GA 30669: On or about November 25, 2024, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that; while running above ground utility lines/cables across a highway, the employer failed to instruct employees on staying clear of the cable while they were being stretched across the highway. b) Utility work located near the intersection of Jacksonville Rd. and Washington Hwy., Union Point, GA 30669: On or about November 25, 2024, the employer exposed employees to struck-by hazards, in that; while running above ground utility lines across a highway, the employer failed to instruct flaggers to stop traffic while the cables were being stretched across the highway.
