Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were not protected from the hazard of high heat while performing job duties: On or about August 30, 2024, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to the hazard of high ambient heat including high outdoor temperature, direct sun exposure and humidity during the performance of their job duties which included cleaning parking lots, picking up trash and light lifting. The high heat ambient temperature produced a wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT) ranging from 76�F-85�F. An employee developed symptoms of heat illness while working, including hot skin, dizziness, and loss of consciousness.
