Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1928.57(a)(6): Operating instructions. At the time of initial assignment and at least annually thereafter, the employer shall instruct every employee in the safe operation and servicing of all covered equipment with which he is or will be involved, including (at least) the safe operating practices listed in this section. (a): On or about April 30, 2024, at the jobsite located in the 5600 block of Miller Road, Wonder Lake, Illinois, the employer did not ensure that employees were instructed at least annually in the safe operation of equipment, including (but not limited to) a Kubota Tractor Model TL1150SG. Employees operated this and similar machinery without annual instruction on the safe operation. (b): On or about May 2, 2024, at the jobsite located in the 5600 block of Miller Road, Wonder Lake, Illinois, the employer did not ensure that employees were instructed at least annually in the safe operation of equipment, including (but not limited to) a Kubota Tractor Model TL1150SG. Employees operated this and similar machinery without annual instruction on the safe operation. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
