OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to caught-in hazards: (a) On or about 01/26/2022, at 2352 County Road 719, Cullman, Alabama 35055, Evisceration Department, Line #1, Meyn Bird Opening machine, ID #1MCC1F, employees were potentially exposed to caught-in hazards when manually rotating the cutting blades of the machine to align the gear blade mechanism. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazardous condition would be to train employees in the proper procedures for aligning the gear blade mechanism.
