29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer shall assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Snack bar, grill area -- On or prior to 8/04/21, the employer did not assess hazards and determine the necessary personal protective equipment for employees working in the snack bar operating hot oil fryer(s) and cleaning; employees were exposed to burn injury hazards from contact with hot oil and eye/skin irritation hazards from cleaners and greasers.
