Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that equipment loading of a personnel basket was not uniform: On or about November 14, 2020, employees were exposed to fall hazards in that the Manitex personnel basket (Model #6001232-002, Serial #262087) was side loaded with a Honda motor. Employees were required to attach the motor to the side of the basket while performing electrical work at approximately 125' in elevation, exposing them to hazards associated with uneven loading of the basket.
