29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces: a) Foundry department, sand beds. Employees pouring hot, molten metal, including but not limited to aluminum stepped over the frame of the sand beds to access the molds. On October 28, 2020, an employee suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns when he tripped over the frame of the sand beds and fell while carrying a ladle of molten aluminum.
